Wonderful Wednesday Link Party #21

It’s the Wonderful Wednesday Link Party, Welcome back! Another wonderful week of summer fun and really warm weather!! It’s been a busy week of picking up furniture and not so much painting. I did manage to finish this wonderful Painted Waterfall Buffet and snap some photos to post.  I hope you all have a great rest of your week and enjoy the rest of your summer.

Painted Waterfall Buffet “Maria”

My husband and I picked up this lovely painted waterfall buffet from a local couple not too far from where we live. It’s so nice to meet people in our neighbourhood and find out a little bit about what they do and where these pieces come from. This buffet belonged to the lady’s aunt who’s name was “Maria”.  It’s a classic walnut art deco-ish waterfall design.

Welcome back, Wonderful Wednesday Link Party #20

Hello, my friends and welcome back to Wonderful Wednesday Link Party.  It’s been a week of hide and seek.  I’ve been hiding inside because of this really hot humid weather and for good reason…. I’ve been seeking to watch the Olympics.  How many of you have been glued to the tube watching Rio?  Even with all of the strife associated with this years Olympics it really is a magical experience for these athletes.

Eight Drawer Painted Malcolm Dresser “Joanne”

This Classic Eight Drawer Painted Malcolm Duncan Phyfe Style Dresser is another one of those pieces that have been sitting around for longer than I’d like to admit.  I purchased it from a gentleman in Ancaster on “Joanne” Crescent.  I remember it being winter time when we picked it up and how treacherous the porch and driveway was with ice.  I’m not much for this heat we’ve been having but I’d much rather take this heat than those freezing temperatures, any day of the week!

Painted Vintage Sideboard “Belair”

I knew I had to have this painted vintage sideboard as soon as I saw it!!  I picked it up in Port Dalhousie on “Belair” Avenue from a lovely couple that was renovating their home and needed to get rid of some items.  I was the lucky one to have picked it up when I did.  I just love the details on the ends of the cabinet and on the door fronts.  Very stately.

Painted Malcolm Sofa Table Desk “Parkway”

This lovely painted Malcolm sofa table desk is a mahogany piece that I picked up on the Niagara “Parkway”.  The Parkway runs along the Niagara River from Niagara-on-the-Lake through Niagara Falls and on to Fort Erie in the south.  If you ever get a chance to visit Niagara Falls and need a change of scenery (ie. the Falls) rent a car or even a bicycle and pack a small lunch and work your way along the water for some great views and lovely parks along the way.

Painted French Provincial Dining Hutch

I have to say I’ve had this Painted French Provincial Dining Hutch sitting around for longer than I’d like to admit. My plan was to finish it up almost two years ago.  But instead just got buried behind more and more “stuff”.  I originally purchased this hutch as a set from a gentleman in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.  He had sold an investment property in town and this set was located at that house in NOTL.

Wonderful Wednesday Linky Party #18

Another really hot week and another really hot Wonderful Wednesday Linky Party on tap!!  Welcome back everyone, I hope you’ve all had a great week.  I’ve been working on a few projects this week including this Eggplant Painted Cabinet and Lamp Black Painted Desk for my client Linda.  I’ve also finished my French Provincial Hutch that I will be sharing tomorrow.

Lamp Black Painted Desk “Mirrors”

This lovely Lamp Black Painted Desk for my client Linda turned out wonderfully!  After sending me some photos of the desk in her beautiful large foyer, I had to agree with her that the black was a perfect choice to ground the desk and her vignette she was hoping to create in that area.

Eggplant Painted Cabinet “Linda”

This lovely petite eggplant painted cabinet was such a delight to finish.  My client “Linda” wanted an eggplant colour to don this lovely textured cabinet that she had in her den.  I suggested a custom combination colour of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint with a mixture of Old Violet and Graphite to get this luxurious deep aubergine colour.  So rich and beautiful.
